The allowances are in accordance with the Company's usual scale

There would be a further charge of 8% per annum

on all salaries and foreign service allowances to cover

contributions to the Pension Fund.

In order to avoid any departure from this Company's usual scale of pay and allowances it is requested that the seconded officers be paid in accordance with the Company's practice, always provided that the Government is not put to extra expense.

We understand that the Government will repay to the Company the first-class passages of these Engineers to Hong Kong.

On hearing that these proposals are acceptable to the Hong Kong Government we will make arrangements for the Engineers to leave as soon as possible.
